Sector Expertise

The Company is engaged in the business of banking and provides a wide array of related financial services in the areas of personal, business, corporate and investment banking. The Company is a licensed financial institution under the FIA and is a member of the Uganda Bankers Association. Stanbic Bank is one of the five primary dealers selected by the BOU to deal in Government of Uganda Securities. 26

Stanbic Bank’s income-generating operations are segmented into Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) and Personal and Business Banking (PBB), with a full support structure for both units. The financial support function manages certain group overheads not recoverable from business segments, activities and taxes not allocated to business segments and inter-segment eliminations.
